Santas Toy Express!

Our school helped to clean toys for Santa's toy express. As a school we cleaned many toys and replaced the batteries in those that needed them. Santa's toy express was a fun project to do and i would do it again if i had the chance. basically Santa's toy express is a project i which we clean toys and sell them for the price of 1-5 can goods instead of money. not all families can afford toys so Santa's toy express helpers by providing toys at the cost of can goods. the can goods got to holiday helpers to feed the hungry, so in the long run its all donations.

Santa Toy Express

The Santa toy express is a on going project it's been going on for about a month.  We as a school help clean toys and make sure they work and put new batters in the toy if they take them. The project is to help poor family in two ways.  The first way is the family trades caned goods for toys toys cost for 1 to 5 cans depending on the value of the toy. Then the caned goods go to the holiday helpers to feed family's in Jefferson county.  I think we should do it every year to help people.

SANTAS TOY EXPRESS

On Monday the 6th of December we went to the Oskaloosa Public Library and helped with the Santa's Toy Express. We hauled a van full of toys up there and after we unloaded them we went ot the daycare center and we got three more van fulls of toys. we unloaded them and helped to set them up on the tables and furniture for the parents to get their kids something for Christmas. This has actually been an ongoing project because we have actually cleaned toys here at the school for the past few months having them hauled in then taken away by miss Karen and her helpers.

The best part was being inside the library and setting up the toys cause then we wouldn't be out in the cold. The worst part was unloading the toys because it was very cold outside.

If I could I would do it again because it feels good to help out needy families.

The only thing I wouldn't do is stand out in the cold and unload the toys, because it was EXTREMELY COLD!!!!!!
About the whole school doing this again I would say that yes we should.
